What is the difference between Tac Fire. Mil Spec M4 style 6 position stock Mar084 and the Mar085 stock. I plan to mount mine on my JTS12AK 12 gauge

The 084 uses a milspec buffer tube which is 1.168" diameter the 085 is a commercial tube 1.148" the mil spec tube is 7075 T6 alloy with rolled threads, the commercial is 6061 T6 bullet with cut threads which are shorter and weaker than the mil spec design. The commercial tube also has a 5° slant on the back of it. You cannot fit a commercial stock on a mil tube, a mil stock will fit but it will be sloppy.

Spray Paint by Buff Buffington, August 25, 2017
These buffers have a spray paint type paint finish that chips off easily. I'll probably remove all the paint to prevent buildup inside the buffer tube. The paint could end up causing reliability problems. Not recommended.

Mil spec tube, buffer is the correct weight. stock fits tight without binding, no wobble. The receiver endplate is kinda meh but I don't plan On using it anyway. The slotted sling attachment is floppy and the thread pitch is nonstandard so you cannot...
