I have been using these buffers for a long time like 30 years and I think they save wear and tear on your 10/22 receiver. They also seem to make the rifle cycle quieter and smoother.

Installed on BRN-22 receiver, would not install out of packaging-fit thru one hole and would not align with hole on other side (tolerance too tight). Eventually round tapered one side with coarse grade sandpaper until it was able to align perfectly...
