Product Info for Trango Stratus Bouldering Pad
Easy to carry and even easier to use, the Stratus is a dual-density, two-layered pad that features Trango's legendary SAMstrap system (for added durability and safety) and a fast-flow rain cover (so you can actually use the valuable time you save from not having to tie your gear down to the roof). The Stratus' dual components work in tandem to keep you safe and comfortable while training. When you're not teaching someone how to crimp or jump, you can use the time you save by letting them pad out to the chains. Our dynamic climbing surface allows you to use the entire surface area of the Stratus to your advantage. Climbers can save energy and avoid injury by concentrating on the holds rather than the holds themselves. The Stratus is even good at leading when you're on the downed side. The comfortable sit-bone design of the Stratus will encourage you to rest between shots. And while the comfortable material saves weight and saves on bulk, it adds strategic safety. The bail system increases your visibility in the event of a difficult or dangerous fall. The safety trough and molded front rail will keep you securely in position while the molded nosegrip handles allow your feet to find their grip when the weather turns cold and wet.
