Can this handle 7.62x39 AR frame or does a separate buffer need to replace stock? Expert Answer

Unfortunately this will not fit, this is the short version which comes with a proprietary bolt carrier group, which includes a customized bolt, so you cannot replace it with the necessary 7.62x29 compatible bolt.
