No, this one is for rimfire. They make a shotgun version. It was also priced less at around $52.00. My experience with this type of mass produced optic is that if you get a good one, it will hold zero and last for year's. Those are made Tue through Thurs. The bad one's won't hold zero and are made Fri and Monday's. Just verify it's holding "zero" on your 835 .
Mounted this on a savage rascal .22 for my daughter. Zero'd in like it should and has held that zero for 2 range trips so far. The crosshairs are a little thick but that's being kinda picky on a sub-$50 scope. Works well for what I need it to do.
Great scope for a pellet gun. Clear picture, simple and durable as usual. This is my second scope by truglo, both very good. Price is good, quality is good, never disappoints. Every review so far is pretty accurate.
