I purchased this to upgrade my decades old Bushnell 4x on my also decades older Browning BL-22. The supplied rings will NOT fit a standard rimfire rail cut. No way to blame the Browning here. The stationary part of the ring base has a large radius under the corner that should engage the dovetail. It just falls out. Will have to re-use the rings from the old Bushnell, because at least they machined it flat from the corner. Why is it that the older we get the more manufacturers cut corners to sell junk. Sell the scope for less and keep the junk rings.
Why no manufacturer lists the dimensions of their products in the descriptions is stupid. No faith in the industry. They all want you to waste your money on products that dont' fit.
The first one I bought has the laser symbol button and the light button reversed. Laser symbols are usually a line with a sparkly at the end. There's even an example in the warning label taped to the device. A light is usually a circle surrounded by radiating lines. When you press the light button the laser activates, and vis-a-versa. Thought this was just short run mistake, so I returned it for exchange, hoping another lot would have this stupid corrected.
New product arrived today with the same stupid. So, I looked closely at the manual and that's how they make them. I found it pretty annoying.
I took it apart and swapped the buttons so they make sense. In doing so, I learned that the internal construction isn't sealed with anything, wires are thin as a horse hair. Probably will not take rough handling, rain or dropping into puddles well.
So, it was inexpensive. You always get what you pay for.
I bought this for my M1. I mounted it as close as I could and not interfere with clip loading. I also added a high cheek rest to ensure that things lined up with my eye. The optic starts to tunnel badly after 4X. That means the reticle graduations will never be correct. Will have to leave it at 4X till I can afford a better LER scope.
I bought this hoping it would fit my Taurus PT-111 G2. It has a very short rail. Well the Viridian CTL did fit. Great news, as the little Surefire Xc1 was too long. I used the factory installed rail clamp, and the light sits flush with the muzzle.
Bright enough, and the dual mode (continuous/strobe) feature is nice. Squeeze both buttons at the same time to switch between them.
Waiting for a holster from Cleveland Kydex that will accommodate the mounted light.
