The TRYBE Defense Standard Handguard Hardware Kit will not work with the Aero M4E1 Upper Receiver. You will need to use the Aero Precision Barrel Nut that comes with that Upper Receiver due to the proprietary design.
Worthy replacement if you're in need after damaging, rounding corners or just need a spare to mach uppers. Also appears to fit into a couple other brands of clamping style handguards without issues.
Wont pass 2 threads on 3 milspec reciever brands i have tried. New AR builders will be crossthreading and galling with this. Thread checker in my gunshop shows threads are not even consistant from face to shoulder.

Well made, solid so it should hold the barrel well, but a tad heavy if you're going for a light weight build. Found that a carbine length gas tube made light contact with the nut during installation. Fit my PSA rail perfectly.
As others have stated here and in the handguard reviews related to this barrel nut, the threads on this wouldnt even allow full threading onto any reciever.
