will this work with a 12 in. handguard and a 10.5 in barrel and still get a compensator on the end? barrel is recessed 2.5 in. thank you Can you answer this question?

Product Info for Unique-ARs Short Shield AR Heatshield for 5.56 Uppers

Add some color under your Unique-ARs handguard. The short shield is made to slide under the handguard and over the 556castlebolt, and is attached using an end cap. End cap is attached with two screws inserted in the foremost tac rail holes at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. Will not work with handguards that have an upgraded front end cut. Short shield only works with 556 barrel nut and 0.75" gas blocks.image
