Product Info for V Seven AR-15 Hyper-Light Magnesium Keymod Handguard
As a continued dedication to the AR shooting sports enthusiasts, the Hyper-Light Magnesium KeyMod Rail is another addition to the ever growing AR15 market that V Seven is proud to offer. This material is a blend of aluminum and magnesium that has been pressed together under vacuum, creating a material with the ability to combine light weight with durability. Compared to the commonly used 6061 aluminum, the magnesium material can reduce material weight by as much as 30%. This material also has the ability to combine light weight with durability under extreme conditions, such as high heat or extreme cold. The rail features three integrated QD swivel mounting points and has a slim design with an Id of 1.3" (Left To Right) and 1.55" (Top To Bottom) for gas block clearance. Also, the rail has a wear layer that provides a tough ceramic-like coating with superior wear resistance compared to anodizing.
