Product Info for V Seven Muzzle Brake Threaded
The V-7 Threaded muzzle brake is designed to minimize side blast and down range accuracy while attempting to engage targets at distance. The muzzle brake should be tightened to reduce any side blast while still allowing unrestricted gas flow. The V-7 threaded muzzle brake is a one piece device that functions on a 1/2x28 threaded barrel. The V-7 can be backed off to run on a threaded barrel. The slot in the muffler allows the muzzle brake to be backed off or "turned down" to reduce or eliminate side blast. The slot also reduces recoil as the shooter is able to make a more deliberate follow up shot. The muffler also functions as a timing device. When the muffled chamber is backed off the gas a small amount of the gas can be forced back towards the shooter. This causes the muzzle to dive forward and the muzzle brake to dive back the same amount. This causes the back pressure to be regulated. When the muffler is mated to the barrel the sound is no longer there, and the shooter can hear the sound of the bullet leaving the muzzle rather than the blast.
