The remarkably Vixen R200SS Telescope with Starbook and GP2 Mount 39632 - 39633 gives extremely sharp images with no chromatic aberration. The use of state-of-the-art lens coating technology yields the ideal surface for its f/4 primary mirror. The star observer will enjoy wide views of deep sky objects. Actual groups of nebula or clusters can be viewed at the same time with this instrument. The Telescopes 's large aperture and compact body make it ideally suited for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters and comets. Vixen has implemented the use of the optional coma corrector allows for a sharp coma-free image from edge to edge, and the rack and pinion focusing mount, with an adapter, accepts 2 telescope eyepieces. The Vixen R200SS Telescope 2642 comes standard with the 7x50 finder, 232mm tube rings, dovetail tube plate and new focus design with more distance for photographic equipment, as well as being compatible with the Vixen GP2 Equatorial Mount, Vixen GPD2 Equatorial Mount and Vixen Sphinx Mount 2502. The 7x50 achromatic finderscope has a field of view of 6.8" and a Kellner type eyepiece. The GP2 equatorial mount comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and Telescopes. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allowing accurate tracking. Motion is controlled by included control knobs for accurate slewing. The polar altitude adjustment in this Vixen Telescope varies from 0° to 62° in altitude. Optional single axis or dual axis motors and controllers are available as is a polar alignment telescope and setting circles.
