Vortex states their Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm Riflescope uses an illuminated reticle that is primarily designed for precise aiming under low-light conditions. They do not necessarily state that it will be daylight bright.

This scope is amazing. For the money and size, it fits well, user friendly, and I only needed a few adjustments to center it in. Parallax adjustments and great zoom. First focal plane is excellent. Great achievable MOA with a decent rifle.
