The Warne Maxima Steel Rifle-Scope Base - 2 piece base for J.C. Higgins will not fit a J.C. Higgins Model 50. The Warne Maxima Steel Rifle-Scope Base - 2 piece base for J.C. Higgins will fit the J.C. Higgins Model 51 which has the correct hole spacing.
Warne does not provide the hole spacing on their Maxima Steel Rifle-Scope Base. I would recommend reaching out to Warne directly for more specific information.
I purchased this base for my JC Higgins Model 50. Apparently, not all of these rifles were set up with the same configuration. My rifle has a rear hole spacing of .500, not .860. My fault, I should have measured first.

Without question, Warne is my choice for any two-piece base for all of my rifles. This product exceeds all of my expectations and I cannot find anything that I would change or improve upon. These things are solid- set them and forget them.
Bought these for my JC Higgins 30-06. The rifle came with a Weaver K3 scope. I wanted to mount a newer Leupold scope on it, but the stock mounts are to small for newer scope rings. These mounts fit perfect.
