The 5.56 Carbine buffer spring is one of the most important single acting parts in the AR platform. Without a properly tuned gas system the 5.56 Carbine can become sluggish and even irresponsive to operator error. It is important that the user either replace the entire gas system or the buffer assembly in order to keep the shooter's position safe and secure in the carbine. The buffer spring plays a critical role in the proper operation and tuning of the gas system. It must be replaced with a new gas system after doing any work on the carbine. There are a number of different single acting springs on the market but if you need an exact replacement we carry the part you need or can always order a backup spring if you need one.
