We created our first ever flash hider in a police M16. It's a simple hex design that when installed at the 1/2 x 28 threaded breech connector threads directly into the muzzle break, no cam pins or tools required. The design of the first flash hider utilizes a tapered pattern to effectively block the muzzle blast while also effectively reducing flash to near zero. They have been tested and evaluated by professionals in the Military, Law Enforcement, and Sportsmen's Associations in all calibers where they have been used.
