Celestron Motor Drives for Telescopes Product Info

These Celestron Motor Drives allow you to track heavenly bodies across the expanses of space without the annoying fine tuning it takes to track objects by hand.image Celestron Telescope Motor Drives have variable speeds (1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x) so you can maintain the best possible image sharpness when executing long, timed exposures. These Celestron telescope accessories are compatible with a number of telescopes, including the AstroMaster and the Powerseeker. Celestron has made these motor drives available in both dual axis and single axis varieties. The universe is big, so when you're tracking distant objects with your telescope by hand, it can be easy to lose sight of even star-sized objects. But once this telescope accessory is properly hooked up to your telescope and polar aligned, you'll have no problems tracking objects in Right Ascension. For precise, accurate movement that takes into account all the warping and displacement problems that come with viewing interstellar objects on the Earth's surface, equip a Celestron Right Ascension Motor Drive.

Features of Celestron Variable Speed Telescope Motor Drive:

  • Choose from single axis or dual axis
  • Drive corrector capabilities
  • Precision drive correctors
  • Four variable speeds: 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x
  • Hand controller module
  • Operates with 4 DC batteries (93522) or one 9v alkaline battery (93514)

Most Recent Review It works, but I wish it was a little different by Legacy Reviewer, May 26, 2009
It does what it is supposed to do, which is to track the sky, assuming you do a reasonable job aligning your mount. You can do minor slewing with the buttons on the control, so it is easy enough to manually correct for any setup inaccuracies. My b...
