While I don't deal much with dovetail mounts anymore, when I do it's much easier having the right tools. The ring wrench is kind of a no-brainer for installing rings - not really necessary, but certainly makes the job easier and keeps me from scratch...

This thing sure beats the heck out of trying to use channel locks and not scar your finish or jamming screwdriver handles in your rings to get them to turn in the bases. Another tip - put s little gun oil or grease on the dovetail of the ring before...

There is nothing fancy or high tech about this ring wrench but it absolutely works as advertised. Way better than hunting for a piece of broom stick or going to Lowe's for a dowel. I'm just sorry I haven't had one for years.

Glad I bought this tool; the old way of using a broom stick handle to rotate the rings works but this tool makes it much easier to do. Absolutely no worries about damaging/scratching your rings.
