Simple, helpful tool
While I don't deal much with dovetail mounts anymore, when I do it's much easier having the right tools. The ring wrench is kind of a no-brainer for installing rings - not really necessary, but certainly makes the job easier and keeps me from scratching things up.
Pros: relatively cheap & useful
Cons: probably not a 'must have' piece of equipment
Leupold Scopesmith Ring Wrench 48762
This tool is a must have for anyone that owns an Remington 700 rifle. It will help to turn the rings with ease and to keep from scaring the metal rings. Works great and would recommend this product.

Useful & Easy to Use
It is obvious there are other ways to install the Leupold rings but this is the quickest, easiest and won't mar the finish. The amount of leverage is correct the fit is perfect. One does not need to attach the top half of the ring which other methods may require. I was initially skeptical as to whether I needed this but am a believer in it.

This wrench is must to have From expert gunsmith to average hunter that needs help for to install rings and bases the Lepould products are state art I wouldn’t use any thing else to install my Rings and bases they have tools to do a state job

Works good
This scope wrench is made especially for removing and tightening scopes to avoid damage and undue pressure and stress on the scope rings. Its fixed size slot works on both one inch and 30 mm scope rings and never needs adjustment.The slotted one size wrench makes mounting safe and easy. Highly recommend for anyone who mounts or changes scopes with alot of frequency.

I messed up
I thought this product was used differently when I first bought it. Since then I have used it on several pairs of DOVETAIL RINGS. It has worked flawlessly. For $13 you won't go wrong with this tool. Needed 2 more characters.

If you are using Leupold dovetail rings and bases this is the right tool for the job. Made from strong but non-marring polymer the wrench fits just right over Leupold scope rings and gives nice added leverage to turn the rings into the bases. Nothing like using the right tool!

Scope tools
I bought this tool as a price was right purchase. It certainly does what it was made to do, and if you work with scopes and rings it's handy. While you can get by with out it, using it will certainly be more convenient. It may even keep you from looking like a shade tree gunsmith, who's main tools are a hammer and slip-joint pliers! It will make a nice addition to my gun tools collection.
