Received the barrel and it appears to be good quality, especially given the price. Muzzle threads are good, the melonite is uniform, and it fit snugly in the upper receiver.
Unfortunately, this barrel possesses a flaw that made it completely unusable for me. You see, I purchased this barrel to make a mock "Colt SMG" style 9mm AR build. These guns have an FSB on them. Unfortunately, they placed the "gas block journal" where you would mount said FSB in the wrong location. No, 9mm's don't use a gas block, but you still need the correct mounting surface to mount the FSB. The journal on this barrel sits somewhere between 0.5 and 1.0 inches underneath a carbine length handguard. Thus, it is unusable.
I suspect that this is because they didn't account for the lack of a barrel extension on a 9mm AR barrel. Thus, they effectively made the barrel shorter, likely without intending to. This is also illustrated by the fact that Ballistic Advantage and KAK Industries sell an 11" 9mm barrel. Right there in the product description for either of those barrels, they explain that an 11" 9mm barrel has the same external dimensions as a 10.5" 5.56 barrel, but the effective barrel length (using the ATF barrel measurement method) winds up coming out to 11". In other words, they are accounting for the lack of a barrel extension.
For this barrel, Trybe did not do the same.
To make matters worse, this is one of the only 9mm barrels with this profile out there with 1/2x28 threads. There

Glass is very good for the price. I dunno if I would put it on pat with Leupold, but for the money, you shouldn't be trying to draw that comparison. That said, you get good glass and side focused for around 2 bills on a scope with 24x zoom. Tough to beat.

This thing sure beats the heck out of trying to use channel locks and not scar your finish or jamming screwdriver handles in your rings to get them to turn in the bases. Another tip - put s little gun oil or grease on the dovetail of the ring before you try and turn it. It helps a lot!
Just buy it. You will spend $600+ on a scope but not $12 on a tool?!?

I currently have this mounted on a 1976 Ruger .44 Carbine. What a great combo. Turn it down to 3x for ultra fast target acquisition, and up to 9x for more precision at longer ranges. And of course, because it's Leupold, you know that the optical clarity is excellent. I've had cheaper 50mm obj scopes that have less light transmission than this. I bought a VX-1 because the gun wasn't used nearly enough to justify the VX-3 model. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one! Leupold''s value line is better than most manufacturers higher level offerings.

There's a reason why this brand is what all others are judged against when it comes to mounts and rings. They're very solid and the machining is excellent. Pro tip: resist the temp Tatian to put the front ring on your scope and use the scope for leverage to turn the front ring into its base. If the ring is tight, like mine was, all that you are likely to accomplish is to crush the tube on your expensive scope. A lapping bar would be best. I did not have the correct size bar available so I took a tip from a friend and used the plastic end of w screwdriver. Just try to find the closest size handle you can.

Many people will tell you that the plastic ammo Cans aren't worth anything and to hold out for the metal. Well with the cost of surplus ammo Cans being what it is these days, I'm here to tell you that you can put more than you want to carry in these without them breaking. Are the metal cans stronger? Probably. But I also loathe the thought of carrying one of these cans around with 50 pounds in it. Don't worry. These are fine.
