Does this barrel nut need to be timed with the s one handguard?

It needs to be timed with the gas tube. One of the indented lines needs to be in-line with the gas tube (use shims if needed) and tighten to between 35-60 ft.lbs.

Although its proprietary and a little bit high. I am still a fan of Aero precision. I feel like i get capable and quality parts for fractions of Daniel Defense and BCM etc. if you lose it I would suggest the M4A1 upper receiver with it built in.
