The item pictured is aero precisions gen 1 quad rail which is what I thought I was buying. I was sent the gen 2 which has sections of the picatinny rail removed. Still a good quad rail. The built in qd sockets are handy.

Aero makes great products. This hand gaurd is super light. It is isn't as slim as the atlas line but I also don't have to buy a picatinny rails for my furniture. I can't wait to complete my build. You will need a barrel nut.

The enhanced platform is a great system. Precision fit, strong and easy to install. Handguard tollerances are amazingly close. Set screw installation is quick and strong. E5 platform is well thought out.

Product Info for Aero Precision M5 Enhanced Quad Rail Handguard
Our Gen 2 Enhanced Quad Rail (EQ) Handguards provide a lightweight free float design for your custom M5 .308 build. Changes include redesigned quick disconnect sling sockets, enhanced milling design for grip and visual appeal and a new profile for the picatinny top rail. The side and bottom picatinny rails have also been reduced in length, eliminating weight and providing a more ergonomic design in the rear gripping area of the handguard. Machined to mil- spec dimensions and engineered to perfection, these handguards eliminate bulk while retaining strength and stability.
