This is our family's "first go-to" tactical belt as it's sturdy enough to support a holstered pistol but narrow enough to wear with any style of pants. This was a purchase for our younger son, and it's the exact same belt I gave five years ago to our older son (and purchased 10 years ago for myself). Sure, I've got other tactical belts that are either nicer or a better fit for specific applications, but this one is solid and still sees regular use.

My old Galco belt has seen better days, it is several years old now. It still works but I wanted a new one, most belts like this were well over $60, this one came on sale during Black Friday cyber Monday time for $39, I couldn’t pass it up as I like the 5.11 brand. I think I like this belt better than my old one, even without taking the price into consideration.
This fits well, does it’s job as a belt, and is plenty strong enough to support holsters or tools. For those who haven’t made the switch to an actual gun belt for concealed carry, you owe it to yourself and your future back health to do so. This is a good one. For reference, I fluctuate between about a 36-40 inch waist depending on if I carry IWB or OWB, and if I’m in holiday mode. The large works great for OWB, there isn’t quite enough adjustment to use it for IWB, but I can kind of make it work. My Galco has more adjustment range, so that’ll be my IWB belt until I can find a way to reduce my circumference.
Best Used for:
- concealed carry
- tools
- belt type things

Sizing was right on, solid materials, but come on 5.11, do you really need to plaster your whole website address on the front side of the belt buckle? SMH. For a $50+ belt, that makes it look really cheap.

This is a comfortable, sturdy belt that works great for concealed carry. After 40 years as a LEO, I have lower back issues. This is the only belt I can comfortably wear and carry a pistol with. I used to use leather double layered belts for the rigidity and support for the weapon. These belts are sturdy enough even though they are nylon. They are two layers also and support the weapon well. I carry a Glock 43 IWB and its very comfortable. I have the coyote and black belts. Great product. My son liked them so much
that he has a couple himself.

The main part of the Trainer belt is a double thickness of webbing; after months of wear it hasn’t shown any signs of getting floppy. I haven’t worn it during the summer yet, so it remains to be seen how it will hold up to lots of sweat and heat (I think it will work just for me). I bought the belt one size larger then I really needed, so that I could carry IWB if needed. The belt end has enough Velcro to let me pull it tight even without a holstered weapon.
Pros:
- Heavy Duty
- great construction

I am enjoying using the belt except for one major problem. When trying to tighten the belt it is difficult trying to tighten the belt completely because of the loop structure in the belt buckle. My spouse needs to help me to pull on the tag end of the belt in order to tighten fully.

This is the perfect belt for the money; I have been using trainers belt for over 10 years and for the money they are the best. They are comfortable and stiff, hold any holster secure and firm. There are a lot of overpriced belts in the marked, but for me this is the best and is priced right.

I run a similar belt from Mikes. this belt is about 33% heavier and thicker in places near the buckle. I can tell because of the holster loop being very tight on this belt. Overall, this belt has a higher profile around the abdomen. Also, the Velcro keeper on the loose end is very miserly. only a 4 inch strip of Velcro. On other belt, the entire loose end has Velcro backing.

It is a sturdy belt, but the buckle is a bit thick. It pokes out and looks a little odd if you don't tuck in your shirt. I had to get one size larger than what was recommended.I've been using this belt for about a year and it's holding up fine.
