Very solid scope mount - Burris Xtreme Tactical Single 30mm Rifle Scope Ring

I actually purchased this prduct in the 1 inch ring height version along with spacers for a 1 inch scope to get just a little more height for my scope than I could get for a 1 inch set of rings. That being said, I mounted the rings on my scope with just enough clamp tension to allow the scope to rotate in the rings with finger force. I then mounted the rings on the picatinny rail and torques the bolts. I then evaluated the force reqired to rotate the scope in the rings and found that rotating the scope did not require an appreciable increase in rotational force. That test was enough to convince me that the rings were concentric to he scope and that I could tighten the scope clamping fasteners with confidence that I would not damage or reduce the performance of my scope. After 70 rounds of 300 blackout, there is no noticeabl shift in the scope zero. I am happy.
