Most Helpful Positive Review VERY SOLID SCOPE MOUNT
I actually purchased this prduct in the 1 inch ring height version along with spacers for a 1 inch scope to get just a little more height for my scope than I could get for a 1 inch set of rings. That being said, I mounted the rings on my scope with just enough clamp tension to allow the scope to rotate in the rings with finger force. I then mounted the rings on the picatinny rail and torques the bolts. I then evaluated the force reqired to rotate the scope in the rings and found that rotating the scope did not require an appreciable increase in rotational force. That test was enough to convinc...

My go to rings.

These rings are well made and always lap in well. I have used in multiple rifles and have never stripped threads when following torque specs using my wheeler torque driver.
Best Used for:
  • Any rifle with Pickatinny Rail!

I have Burris Extreme Tactical Rings on numerous rifles. They have never disappointed me. When giving advice on scope mounting, I almost always suggest these rings. They are very durable and hard to beat for the money.
Pros:
  • Sturdy, dependable.
Cons:
  • A little bulky for some.
Best Used for:
  • Hunting/target rifles.

Burris Xtreme Tactical scope rings are beefy and provide a soiled mount. I have several Burris Xtreme 30mm Tactical rings sets. I haven't had any issues.

not my 1st set of these rings

Haven't mounted the new set yet. I bought these because I've been using Burris rings for years,great stuff for the money. Never had any issues with them at all. Rock solid. Used them on a very light 300 win mag with heavy loads ,never a problem.
