Most Helpful Positive Review So very HD!
I purchased this Monocular as an option to help shed weight when accessing a hunting area meant more hiking. I really love this device! The Belt Clip is strong and works really well. You're NOT going to have this fall off on its own! I was soo jazzed to find that this device already has a Tripod a...

Most Helpful Negative Review It’s good but better exist
I bought this as a quick spotting scope for range use. It works ok but using it at distance is nearly impossible. It’s been relegated to 300 and in and now I’m looking for a bigger spotting scope. It works well for what it does but don’t expect it to exceed your expectations.

An excellent product and a great value.

by Scott, from WA, United States Written on October 5, 2023
I recently purchased this monocular for $108 (plus shipping) from an online seller to replace a Vector Solo 8x32 mono (which cost about $20 more). In short, I am very impressed by the Legend Ultra. It is very well made, has VERY good optics, and is easy to operate with one hand. I own several binos/monos, including Vector Razor UHD binos, and for 1/14th the cost of the of the Razor UHD's this monocular is a screamingly good buy. Infact, after some extended use, I bought three more to give as Xmas gifts for family members. My sole reservation before I bought this item was that it was made in China, but the obvious quality of the product reflects very good QC at the factory. Highly recommended!

The reticle is what makes it

by TheSurlyOne, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on October 4, 2018
I bought this to stop having to need to use the US Army issue binoculars. While those are of excellent quality and have a ranging reticle in them they are quite large and heavy. This monocular gives me the same range estimation capability in a fraction of the size and weight. While one could argue that you can have a laser range finder do the same, more conveniently than mil for math. However, I appreciate the lack of batteries.
Pros:
  • Size, simplicity, Mil-dot reticle
Cons:
  • FOV - but only relative to full size binos
Best Used for:
  • Backup to a full size spotting scope / keeping with you as a primary optic in a go-bag

This is a great monocular

by BenL, from NH, United States Written on March 15, 2018
I originally bought a Vortex reticled monocular, but was very disappointed with the optics and the reticle (little spots all over it.) When I went back to the vortex page, this Bushnell was a suggested product ("for people who liked this..."). My first thought was, "Bushnell? Pass...", but I ordered one and after receiving it, I couldn't be happier with it. The glass is bright and sharp, and the reticle is well-defined and accurate. If you're in the market for a reticled monocular and don't want to spend over $1K for it, this is a great product.
Pros:
  • Bright, sharp, accurate
Cons:
  • None

Bushnell Legend Ultra monocular with mil reticle

by Mark, from TX, United States Written on August 29, 2017
Well worth the money. The clarity is well above the price point. The mil reticle is sharp and clear. I use mine for spotting for long range target shooting. I have ordered another one without the mil reticle for my wife to use for general wildlife viewing.

Good clear glass

by Big Sky, from MT, United States Written on January 30, 2017
I was looking for something easier to carry than binoculars, but didn't want to give I up clarity, so I rolled the dice on this monocular. In the not so distant past Bushnell was more off a low end brand, but it would appear they have made great strides into being a reputable optics company again. He glass is clear with no distortion from edge to edge. The mildot reticle is handy for estimating range without having to dig out Athens laser rangefinder and having to reaquire the target and wait for return. I would purchase this again and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of item.
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Nice size
  • clear optics
Cons:
  • None

Incredible Clarity

by Phoenix, from MO, United States Written on October 11, 2016
This is a fine piece of optical equipment. It's a monocular, which means it will only do so much. But what it does, it does flawlessly. I use this for bird watching and hiking. There is no dust in the lens, the focusing is amazing, and it comes with lens covers front and back. The carry case is also very handy. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Almost rates a five star review.....

by Walt Mitty, Kaneohe, Verified Owner from HI, United States Written on September 9, 2016
I just returned from my local public shooting range where we are restricted to 100 yards. The Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x42mm Monocular performed well for viewing 5.56mm holes at 50yds. and 7.62mm holes at 100yds. That is what I normally shoot so I'm happy with my purchase. The Mil Hash Reticle proved to be accurate at estimating range. I like the clear optics, compact size and light weight of this monocular (less gear for me to carry to the range). I would have given this a five star review but the objective lens cap had a mangled spring so the cover would not stay open. Not a deal breaker because I removed the spring and I just use gravity to hold the cover open. Works fine now. Bushnell should have better quality control for the lens caps.

Bushnell has hit a home run with this scope. It is an ideal for range shooting, and/or birding watching. It is not a long range scope, it is designed for under 200 yds.. If you like varmint shooting or a similar hunt this scope is ideal.
The scope is sturdy, light and will fit in any pack easily.
Pros:
  • short/medium range shooting
  • bird watching
  • varmit hunting
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • outdoor sporting/viewing
