I have this rail on three ten point five builds. I love how you can grab it and extend until it fattens.And it's like having a hand stop. Super sturdy and is the best feeling real I have.

This is one of the best handrails on the market! Quality product and the barrel nut design is superb. This handrail has such a great aggressive look!

Im by no means a trained professional in building but I do have some builds under my belt. This handgaurd looks mean but putting it on I broke some of the teeth on the barrel nut. The aesthetics are nice just to many smaller parts that are easy to brake. I noticed they sell the barrel nut separately I suppose they break often. After putting it on the over all fit is tight but really am a little reluctant on long run. Really like the design just structure is weak.

If you're looking for pure functionality, this rail might have too much style for your tastes. But, if you're looking for an elegant free-float handguard that's light weight, has a continuous upper rail, and convenient built-in QD connectors for slings, this is a great choice. The anodized finish is great; there's no machining imperfections, and there's no excessively sharp edges/corners. The m-lok slots are flat on the inside, providing excellent points to secure m-lok compatible devices. Installation is several steps, but not very complicated. The barrel nut is atypical, but not ridiculous; and it functions well while still being stylized.

Absolute trash !! The mounting system is trash. Totally seized up, had to have it machined off. Very flimsy design. Lots of deflection ie bend. Had a bipod on it that caused excessive bending on the handguard.

I hope this review will help any of you looking to use this handguard before getting too deep into a build. First off, the handguard itself is great. Two QD attachment spots on the proximal and distal ends of the guard, full picatinny rail on top, and very light weight. Now here are my issues with it. For the price, you get a terrible little tool to tighten the barrel nut onto your upper receiver. It is made of this really soft metal, is deformed easily, and is basically only good for a one time use. Now you can go buy a replacement tool from Fortis for like $20 if you wanted. The nut that is used to tightly secure the handguard is effective, but it is a pain in the butt if you wanted to quickly remove the handguard. I'd look into Geissele's modular handguard instead.

I ordered the Fortis Night Rail 10.5 in -MLOK through Optics Planet on Sept 2 – 2021
I returned it for a replacement of the same because it would not center itself around the barrel. The barrel nut sat crooked in the rail, due to miss alignment when the rail was being made.
When I received the replacement on Sept 24, I noticed it had the same defect.

I tried to replace it again for the same, but OP is not in the business of inspecting product prior to shipping, so they could not guarantee I'd get a good one. OP suggested I contact Fortis Manufacturing directly to remedy this issue.

Mr. Hwang #1 from Fortis Manufacturing was happy to oblige.

But when I received the replacement on Oct 6, upon inspection, I noticed that the black finish was incomplete, although the barrel nut alignment area was about 90% better.

I e-mailed, thorough details regarding concerns and requested to replace it again for the same.
Met with a slightly disjointed reply, Mr. Hwang #2 – CEO, from FM obliged this time.

But again, when I received the replacement I was compelled to e-mail this.
It's Oct 24 now.

I just received the replacement hand rail and it was defective.

From Sept 2 till now I've received and replaced 2 defective Night Rails from OpticsPlanet.com and I've received 2 defective Night Rails from Fortis Manufacturing.

You can imagine this is getting pretty frustrating on this end.
I have shared information in previous e-mails to assist with providing a good item.

I will probably end up picking up another one some day because I love it! Totally aggresive handguard that gives your gun a sweet look. Not to mention the unique barrel nut design, which is solid! Also has to qd ports at both ends.

Product arrived in great condition. All assembly pieces were presant. Looks great with my build. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to build or upgrade your rifle. Excellent material and great finish.
