This is a really neat sight if you’re looking to build Ukraine War style AK or AR etc. Also nice for a change from the cookie cutter red dots that everybody has.
Since this is optic, READ the MANUAL. Any questions you might have are covered there. The negative reviews I’ve seen online are all easily solved if Fudd had just picked up his specks and tried to sound some words out.
This is NOT a holographic sight, it utilizes a prism like a Burris AR1X or similar. Stop crying that it’s not like your Eotech.
Plenty of brightness settings, gobs of internal adjustment, and it’s refreshing to shoot thru something foreign and different.
I’d have a Chinese made optic than a Russian one for a few reason. But that’s another thing people cry about. If you’re anger typing on your Chinese-made phone while wearing your Chinese-made MAGA hat this scope might not be for you.
Pros:
- well built
- Looks awesome
- plenty of brightness settings
- Holds zero well
- Picatinny mount

You will get more than you pay .
Absolutely reliable over 2000 rounds working as should work every combat optics. Battery still on .
Night mode working as should, brightness grate, temperature over 110 f 7hrs working as should on same battery, underwater working as should.

The Novus PDS1 arrived unharmed and unscrutinized 2 days early. Very impressive service from Optics Planet. The optic itself is very nice, easy to zero and very sturdy. Looks absolutely at home on my Zastava M70. It’s just awesome, definitely pick it up next time Optics Planet has a sale.
Pros:
- Looks Russian, very clear reticle, easy to adjust, and sturdy.
Cons:
- It is very stiff right out of the box, might not even count as a real con.

I haven't got a chance to use it at the range yet, but if you've got bad astigmatism like me this optic should give you a nice crisp reticle. For me it looks better than any Eotech or Aimpoint. Not saying its up to the same specs, but its doesn't hurt my eyes to use. It seems well made and robust and it takes AA which is a bouns. Ill Wright a follow up once i put some rounds down range.
Pros:
- AA Batteries
- astigmatism friendly

First, I'd like to preface that I really wanted to like this one especially given all the favorable reviews on YouTube, etc. I have to say, I did when I first got it. It looks awesome on one of my AKs. It appears very robust and well-made and comes in nice packaging, though the battery is not included. The glass is VERY clear, the reticle is bright, the windage and elevation adjustment clicks are good and tactile, and the brightness adjustment wheel is also nicely executed. However, the one thing that was immediately apparent to me after powering up the PDS1 is that the 60 MOA circle reticle is not a circle at all, but a very well-pronounced oval stretched vertically. Another problem is that the reticle is badly out of focus, not grainy like you'd get with holographic sights like Eotech or UH-1, or jagged-like if you have astigmatism, but totally out of focus to the point where I can hardly make out the three BDC dots inside the circle. At the moment, it is not usable to me. I contacted Novus last week with no response to date.
Pros:
- clear glass
- bright
- Looks awesome
- Nice packaging
- Great for clone builds
- Adjustment clicks are nice and tactile
Cons:
- Reticle is completely out of focus
- 60 MOA reticle is misshapen. Oval, not circle
- Ships with no battery
Best Used for:
- clone builds
- Display case (at the moment)

Should get one
Absolutely amazing red dot , first of all its combat optics. Absolutely reliable u can dive with it use in desert or jungles .
Thas my favorite one just bought a new one with 3x armasight magnifier(free).
On my opinion this optic much better then Eotech or Meprolight or Aimpoint .
PDS1 has been used in any condition u can ever imagine.
Huge field of w , nice crisp image little bit of blue tint wich i like special for desert pack .
Free magnifier came for free as a present fron OpticsPlanet on time i bought it.
3x magnifier kind of bulky old school magnifier , its useful but theris much better ones .
Pds1 4 night vision settings pretty good depens on environment mode
Pros:
- Reliable Easy to install and use
- Robust and built to last
- great to dive
- any weather use
Cons:
- No
- little bit bulky on havy side , but for this tipe on optics it normal
