Most Helpful Positive Review My favorite red dot just got better!
Trijicon is at it again! I've been running the MRO (red) on my Scorpion for about a year and it has become my favorite red dot. Great clarity of glass and a large field of view combine to create very fast target acquisition. Not to mention the battle ready ruggedness. These things will take a beatin...

Most Helpful Negative Review Mrohhhnooooo
I sent my mro back to Trijicon and it is a green dot. They did the repair and replaced the internals with a red led so now my green mro is a weird looking orange color and Trijicon will not listen to my requests and fix the problem.

A great optic - for the range

by Will, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 16, 2025
It's a trijicon. The glass is great, they're rugged, and batteries last forever..
Everything about this sight is really impressive, except for one thing. There's no shake awake. To make things worse, there's no auto-off function either. You have to twist the dial like it's a 2005 truglo..from wally world.
To me, it's just not what I'd expect from one of the top players in the optics game.
Without fail, I will go to the range only to find I forgot to turn it off, and the battery is dead.
It's expensive, and lacking features of optics half it's price point. I'd like to rate it higher for all the other great things you get, but I think it's such a big deal that it overshadows anything else.
The Primary Arms "Auto-On" caps will not fit, and I've yet to see any products to add the shake awake function from trijicon.
For punching paper at the range or possibly even a (hog) hunting trip it's an excellent option. However, I couldn't recommend it on anything you'd want at the ready.
Pros:
  • Optics and focuser are phenominal.
Cons:
  • No Shake AWake feature
Best Used for:
  • plinkers
  • Range rifle

Very expensive trash

by Jon, from OH, United States Written on March 7, 2024
This green dot is pure garbage. They should take it off the line before it tarnishes Trijicon's name as a whole. I compared this to a Sig Romeo 5 at 1/4 of the price and i have to say I would have paid more for the Romeo.

Awesome green dot

by Halnfl, from TX, United States Written on January 8, 2024
Have this mounted on a B&T GHM9. It co witnesses with Troy flip ups perfectly. This setup allows me to dance a can at 100 yards. The green dot can easily be seen in daylight full sun without any issue’s finding it. Since it’s the 2 moa dot it doesn’t cover up the target at longer distance like a 4 or 6.5 moa does. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger on this sight.
Pros:
  • crystal clear
Cons:
  • None for me

Fuzzy Pale Green “Dot”

by Hobbyist, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 5, 2024
Eye doc says I have no astigmatism at recent exam. So that boilerplate explanation did not work for me. Dot was fuzzy/distorted at all brightness settings. Not nearly as crisp as the other optics I own, most of which cost less than half of the MRO. Also, the described “green” color of this dot is not at all what I expected. Eotech and Sig green are similar and “pop”. This Trijicon green appeared grayish/yellowish or faded. After good success with 2 prior RMR red dots, this MRO green dot was a deep disappointment. Thank goodness for Optics Planet’s outstanding return policy.

Love the optic but wouldn’t buy again

by J, from TX, United States Written on November 21, 2023
Optics great, no complaints there. Only complaint is it didn’t come with mounting screws?? Especially since I bought just the optic - figure it’s gonna have to get mounted somehow. Would have been nice if they could go the extra effort and include 4 tiny screws with the purchase? Was just a pain, and seemingly and unnecessary one for having paid that much money. Thats why I don’t recommend buying this one in particular. They wanna force you to pay a little more for the ones already mounted. Just save yourself the headache and do that. Unless you had something very specific in mind like I did. I put mine on a gbrs riser so I needed the optic with no mount. Just really would have appreciated screws.

Great deal

by David, from ID, United States Written on October 1, 2023
Bought this for my S&W FPC and it came with a mount. Checked brand x today and for the same thing their deal for exact same optic was $100 more. Thanks Optic Planet will buy from you again. I haven't put to the test yet as my gun isn't here yet but will follow up after I get to the range.

Do not buy

by Freedom Fan, from CA, United States Written on June 27, 2023
Awful dot! The dot has produces extra green dots that make the price unusable. Sent to Trijicon for service and they said this is normal, and not to turn the brightness too high. I have an aimpoint and cheaper RDS, none of them do this. Trijicon recommended I sell the optic, just avoid
Pros:
  • Large glass
Cons:
  • Extra dots
Best Used for:
  • avoid

Horrifically Distorted Green “Dot”

by Frenchy, from MA, United States Written on May 24, 2023
I was extremely disappointed to mount this on my carbine and find that the green dot is completely distorted and blown out at every brightness setting. Higher settings result in green light reflecting off the lenses and is very distracting. I thought this would help with my astigmatism but it is just terrible. The $60 Bushnell TRS25 I currently have mounted has a crisper dot than this $550 effort from Trijicon. Shameful.
Pros:
  • looks sturdy, very clear glass
Cons:
  • High price, low quality
  • reticle blown out/distorted/useless
Best Used for:
  • returning to get your money back
