The SABER Sporter V/T (Varmint/Target) is Ashbury Precision Ordnance Manufacturing's (APO) traditionally styled, ergonomically adjustable modular rifle chassis with an open top free floating barrel forend design. Ashbury is the original inventor of the modern modular rifle chassis system-awarded 21 patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis is manufactured for the very popular Remington and Savage short and long action rifles from aerospace grade aluminum alloys and carbon reinforced polymers. SABER modular rifle chassis require no epoxy bedding to obtain the best accuracy from your rifle and is unaffected by extremely hot or icy cold weather conditions! The SABER Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis provides recreational rifle shooters, long range rifle enthusiasts, tactical rifle sports competitors, varmint, predator and big game hunter's with a comfortable, traditionally styled rifle chassis to upgrade their favorite bolt action rifle. The Sporter V/T rifle chassis is produced in short and long action variants, each providing shooters with unparalleled ergonomics, accuracy, shooter comfort and low felt recoil in all calibers. The Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis features an ergonomic SABER HTA shoulder stock with adjustable height cheek piece, length of pull with spacers (1/4 and ½ inch) and recoil pad drop (up and down) changeable with a simple hex wrench. The ergonomic SABER shoulder stock is mounted to the SABER chassis with a strong fixed stock joint, readily interchangeable with an optional Double Locking Alloy Hinge making rifle stowage and transport easier. The HTA is fitted with a premium Limbsaver recoil pad. Precision engineered short and long action SABER Center Chassis Sections are designed for many popular factory production and custom barreled actions in both right and left hand versions. The SABER Center Chassis Section comes standard with an Ergo Slimline hand grip uniquely adjustable for grip to trigger distance to accommodate large or small hands. The Ergo hand grip is fitted to a 17.5 degree Grip Angle Adapter with options for a near vertical 11 or 27 angle like the AR/MSR grip. Short action SABER rifle chassis for the 308 family of cartridges (e.g. .243 Win, .260 Rem, 7mm-08, 6mm/6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win) feature a detachable AICS type Magpul polymer 5rd magazine and ambidextrous paddle lever magazine catch-release lever. Long action rifle chassis use a 5-rd Magpul polymer magazine in .30-06 or .300WM. The Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis has a traditional sporter style open top forend with a free floating barrel channel that accommodates barrel shank diameters up to 1.300" with #1 through #5 contours. The forend is weighted for varmint and target shooting use and comes standard with dual mounting studs for tandem use of a bipod and sling. The Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis is forward compatible with all factory SABER modular rifle chassis accessories in addition to numerous AR/MSR aftermarket products. The SABER Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis is user maintainable with simple tools. The SABER Sporter V/T modular rifle chassis is finished with a rugged and durable Cerakote coating available in several popular color finishes or MIL-SPEC black hardcoat anodizing.
