This will depend on the model. There are left handed vests and right handed vests. Padding will depend on which that model is.

These are great vests. very functional for sport shooting. Pockets, etc are well-designed and very comfortable. Only criticism I can offer is that they run small. I wear a XL size in shirts, jackets, coats, etc. with plenty of room for movement. ...

Optics Planet was great as always. The vest ordered was a 3XL. The vest that came had a label 3XL. The real size was a tight 2XL. Not even close to a 3XL. Good thing, vest was donated to a Special Olympics event and did raise $40 for Special Olympics...
