honestly this stock is junk.
The actual folding mechanism is great, don’t get me wrong. It locks very solid open or closed. I’m also a big fan of it not being a straight up wire stock.

Cheap and affordable

Tight but awkward to open
Stick looked great. I had to file a bit of one side as it did not fit well. It was only a little bit I needed to file but once on it was great. It is a little awkward to open as it is not super smooth but it is functional.

Product Info for Choate Tool Mini-14 Side Folding Stock
The Ruger Mini 14 folding stocks are lightweight and very compact. When folded they reduce the rifles overall length by 10 inches making it much easier to transport or carry. They are perfect for hiking backpacking, guiding, riding in vehicles or storage in your home. Designed to lock in both the open and closed position, they easily unlock to open with a push of a button. Choate folding stocks are solid when extended and insure a stable shooting platform. The housing and arms are cast out of a high-quality tool steel. Fiberglass filled polymer is then molded over the cast arms and fitted with a 1-inch rubber recoil pad.
