Designed by a special ops veteran, the Xan /z-ann/ tacticallyinspired everyday carry folding knife is your pocket-sized security system. Designed in the wake of the powerful and popular RASP tactical folder, the Xan keeps all the tactical trappings while translating seamlessly to the garage.

Designed in the wake of the powerful and popular RASP tactical folder, the Xan keeps all the tactical trappings while translating seamlessly to the garage.
Forged By War designer Darrin William Sirois dreamt up the Xan (which translates to protector in Greek) from his shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The thin design packs a high-carbon stainless steel clip point blade with a bead blast finish. The lightweight handle is built with black carbon fiber with a black G10 base on the front, and sleek stainless steel on the other. Engage the thumb stud, open it 30 degrees and OutBurst spring assist takes over. The blade springs to life and stays steadily in place with a frame lock. When closed, the internal mechanism holds the blade securely in place.

About the Forged By War Program
In 2013, Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT with the news that he had been working with a few combat veterans that had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS).
To help work through their challenges, they have been designing and forging steel into custom tools. Drawing from their experience earned in combat situations, they have been creating tools they wished they had available to them in the battlefield.
CRKT cares deeply about our returning veterans and we saw a way to give back to the community that created them. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War program.
These are mission ready tools, designed by veterans, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the veterans' charity of choice.
