Guntec USA's Bolt Carrier Group is Nitride treated to improve its durability and resistance to corrosion and its Nitride gas system prolongs its life so that you can spend less time on the range and more time hunting. The Bolt Carrier Group is made up of an 8620 Steel Bolt Carrier and a 9310 Bolt that is magnetic particle inspected. The mechanical surface of the Bolt Carrier is Nitride treated giving it superior resistance to heavy shot loads and corrosive gas systems. The mechanical surface of the Bolt Carrier is also vacuum heat sealed to eliminate any type of gas leaks from forming within the bolt carrier. The Nitride bolt carrier gas system is also a vacuum formed stainless steel disc that is heat treated in place. The Nitride bolt carrier gas system also prevents gas leaks from forming within the bolt carrier especially when firing under heavy recoil. These features make the Guntec Bolt Carrier Group BCG very durable and strong while adding little overall weight to the rifle. Guntec USA considers the Bolt Carrier Group to be an integral part of the bolt carrier and a major contributing factor to the durability of the rifle.
