The Walker Defense Research M16-profile Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Bolt Carrier Group features a carrier and gas key finished with IonBond's Flat Dark Earth DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. FDE DLC offers lower friction, easier cleaning, and better lubricity, including a lower overall need for lubrication compared to a standard mil-spec manganese phosphate bolt carrier group. The bolt itself features black DLC and is MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected).
Walker Defense Research employs small-batch quality control to maintain high standards. BCG components are hand-matched to prevent tolerance stacking and ensure reliable cycling. Each bolt undergoes Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure integrity and performance. Enhanced gas key staking with premium OCKS screws from Michiguns further ensures dependable operation under sustained use.
