The internal diameter of the Aero Precision AR15 Atlas R-One M-LOK Handguard is 1.3". The outside diameter of the Kaw Valley Precision MACH 3 Modular Linear Compensator is 1.28". So it will most likely not fit under that handguard.
While it doesn't make my gun any quieter, it does help to make my AR's muzzle brake considerably less rude by directing the blast downrange. And it looks like a suppressor, so it adds to the cool factor.

These work great as linear comps. They are modular, which allows for different lengths. Also, they fit inside most handguards. Very good quality also. A little pricey though since the barrel adapter is another $20.

Product Info for Kaw Valley Precision MACH 3 Modular Linear Compensator Body
The KVP MACH Modular Linear Comp is a Patent Pending linear compensator system that is completely user configurable! If you've struggled to find a comp the correct length for the perfect "tuck," configure ytheir own! By utilizing 1-1/8x28 TPI internal threads, the MACH Modular Linear Comp can utilize common suppressor attachments, such as a SilencerCo 3-Lug Mount, SilencerCo Direct thread mounts, etc. KVP has opened up a level of modularity that has never before been offered in the Linear Comp market. The Mach Comps allow end users to run any length comp they want, including extra long configurations acting as a placeholder for a suppressor awaiting a Form 4 approval. Each component is machined from 6061-T651 Aluminum and hard coat anodized for wear protection. The MACH system utilizes a 1-1/4 hexagonal wrench flat configuration for easy installation with a standard open end or adjustable wrench. For permanent configurations of a MACH Modular Linear Comp, Red Locktite (or similar) thread locker should be considered. If future re-configure of the comp is desired, anti-seize on the mating threads is recommended.
Note:This kit does NOT include a thread adapter.
