Mr Ollie olllen oxen free by Johnny blue jeans, January 15, 2015
Does not range as far as it says it will. It is hard to figure out how to do measurements. You need a degree to figure it out. There are products that cost less than half this much and do just as good.

Product Info for Laser Technology TruPulse 360R Laser Rangefinder

The Laser Technology TruPulse 360 R Rangefinder is fully waterproof and tough enough to take on any setting (the "R" stands for "rugged".) This powerful laser tape measure is an ideal tool for professionals who need to work in the field without worrying abou their equipment getting damaged by mud or rain. The Laser Technology TruPulse 360 lets you instantly measure slope distance, inclination and azimuth, and calculate horizontal and vertical distance - all with a single push of a button, taking it far beyond the abilities of the common range finder. The 360 Laser Rangefinder has an integrated compass that allows you to measure azimuth and provides an extra onboard solution called missing line - a simple 2-shot routine that instantly calculates the distance, inclination and azimuth direction value between any two remote points.image

The Laser Technology TruPulse 360 R Rangefinder features exclusive TruVector Compass Technology, to obtain the best possible azimuth accuracy regardless of what pitch or angle you shoot from. No other compass laser range finder can do that. All TruPulse laser rangefinders have an onboard solution that only requires 3 shots to calculate a height or clearance value of any target. Since your last 2 shots are only measuring the inclination values to the top and base, you never need a clear line of sight to your target. For downloading data into any compatible data collector, you can use the standard RS232 serial port or Bluetooth® that is found in the "B" models. Each shot taken automatically downloads a full data string that comprises of horizontal, slope and vertical distance, the degree of inclination, and azimuth* values. These measurements can be used to remotely position a target when integrating with GPS or add a height value as an attribute in GIS. For more stability, use the 1/4"-20 thread for mounting the TruPulse laser rangefinder on a staff or monopod.

The Laser Technology 360R TruPulse Range Finder is no slouch in the optics department, either, with a 7-power magnification and in-scope data display, combined with terrific optical quality so you can be confident you are capturing the right measurement to the correct target. If your measurement were ever in question, you can toggle on the Closest or Farthest Mode to ensure the laser sensor is ignoring unwanted obstructions that are either in front or behind your desired target. Compact size (small enough to fit in a vest pocket) and low price point (users have claimed it paid for itself within their first project) make the Laser Technology TruPulse 360 R Laser Rangefinder one of the best remote measurement tools in the world.
