The collet squeezes the case neck against a precision mandrel reducing case neck run-out and increasing accuracy. Another benefit of the Lee Collet Neck Sizing Die Set is that is perfect for use with the Lee Full Length Bullet Seater Die, which is sold separately. The full-length bullet seater die uses a collet to squeeze the case neck against a precision mandrel reducing case neck run-out and ensuring a precise fit between the bullet and die. This is done to both lubricate and protect the neck. Because the collet squeezes the case neck against a precision mandrel, virtually all of the run-out is eliminated.
