Very well built and very sturdy. The description didn't say but it does come with a carrying case. Got it for my Vortex spotting scope. The height works well from a shooting bench. 12 to 30 inches. The legs spread wide to make it very stable.

Helpful Positive Review
I bought this tripod to go with a Leopold ventana spotting scope for shooting at the range from a bench. It is quick and easy to set up and take down. For the price point, it would be difficult to find a higher quality product.
