This forend is made for the Mossburg 590, this will not work with the Mossburg 500.

Put this on a Mossberg 500 with a heatshield, works great! Did have to modify the heat shield a bit, simply used a mouse pad and vice and squeesed the edges in so the forend would clear. worked great.

These Shotgun Forends & Handguards from the experts at Magpul Industries feature extended length and front/rear hand stops for improved weapon manipulation. Now updated with M-LOK slots for compatibility with all M-LOK accessories, the Magpul Industries MOE MLOK Forend adds modularity to the proven Mossberg platform for sporting use, home defense, or on duty.image

For the Mossberg models:

Compatible with Mossberg 590/590A1 12ga shotguns*.

*NOTE: Not compatible with the optional Mossberg heatshield, removal is required before use.  Also not compatible with 14" 590 Shockwave, 500, 535, Maverick 88, and AOW models.

For the Remington models:

Compatible with Remington 870 12ga shotguns.

NOTE: Not compatible with the Remington 870 Super Mag. Not compatible with heat shields.
