This forend is made for the Mossburg 590, this will not work with the Mossburg 500.

Does it fit the 590S w/14.5 barrel?

No. Magpul Industries states their MOE MLOK Forend for the 590 is not compatible with the optional Mossberg heatshield, removal is required before use. Also, not compatible with 14" 590 Shockwave, 500, 535, Maverick 88, and AOW models.

The Magpul Industries MOE MLOK Forend for the Mossberg 590 is not compatible with the 14" 590 Shockwave, 500, 535, Maverick 88, and AOW models.

It says that there is an adaptor for the mossberg 500, but I also see answers saying it is 590 only. Can this be adapted to m500 and m88 guns?

Magpul states the Magpul Industries MOE MLOK Forend is not compatible with 14" 590 Shockwave, 500, 535, Maverick 88, and AOW models. We currently do not have an adapter that will allow the Magpul Industries MOE MLOK Forend to work with a Mossberg 500 or Maverick 88.

No, these Magpul Industries MOE MLOK Forends are for Mossberg 500 series shotguns and Remington 870's.
