No heat shield
So i got this for a 590a1, that i dont have yet. That model doesnt have a heat shield. I put it on an old 500 that ive had forever and found the heat shield had to come off. Great part, cant wait for it to go on my 590a1.
meh, needs some design adjustment
Does not fit mlok light attachments such as the streamlights. You will need to install a pic rail and mount the light to that instead of using a direct mlok mount. There is too much material around the the fore end to mount it

Magpul on Rem 870 Express
I like the way this Magpul forend feels. However, it did not fit my Remington 870 Express with substantial modifications with the old Dremel. The rear portion of the forend contacted the Rem 870's receiver, and I had to cut off about 1-1/2" of the hand guard as well as the tow M-Lok slots closest to the receiver in order to fit and have full function of racking the action on the firearm. In addition, I had to remove about 2" of material inside the Magpul forend for it to completely clear the barrel when the forend is "shucked" and is closest to the receiver. I was under the impression it would be a simple "bolt-on" forend for the Remington 870 Express, but that is not the case. If you are handy with a Dremel it is not a huge problem, just be aware it is not a simple bolt-on installation.

Magpul Fore end for mossberg 590
Im a huge fan of Magpul products so it was a no brainer for me yo buy this part for my new project. I like the handgaurd forend because of the m-lok slots all over it so i can attach switches and lights with ease.

Great Build. High Quality. Magpul never disappoints.
The only drawback to this is that it is not compatible with the Mossberg barrel heat shield my 590 came with. I had to remove that to install this forend. Otherwise, an excellent product.

Quality as expected from Magpul
This is a great upgrade for the 590AI. The install is straight forward but I suggest
applying some Kroil penetrating oil to the Castle Nut if it's your 1st time removing it and
let it work in to help loosen the nut. I let mine sit overnight and the nut came off without
any force. I purchased the combo kit with the SMG Stock in Stealth Gray and it's very nice.
