Is the mounting plate base attached in the pictures? Is it usable with out the base plate ? Expert Answer

The mounting plate is attached as it is the base of the unit, but can be removed. It is usable without the base, but it is the widest part of the loader and is meant to make the most surface area contact with whatever it is resting on. So it provides a lot of stability when using the product on a surface like a table or bench.

Works as described. It seems to work better with already used magazines and ammo.(reloads) hoping that once loader gets broke in it is more consistent working. It worked on 223 great and not so great on 556. The 556 were 1st fire going into new mags....

I'm here in Columbus,ohio on lockdown so no recent range time;However,I loaded several 223 mags and 300 blackout mags with no previous experience swiftly! Fingers feel great .I would definitely recommend for loading multiple rounds.
