I wouldnt go into a combat zone with handguard. But for casual shootin and hoe defense it appears up to the task.

Global Military Gear AR15/M4 Quad Rail replaces existing AR15/M4 carbine size handguards. This Global Military Gear weapon accessory locks firmly in place when tightened, eliminating any hint of side to side slop. AR15/M4 Rail from Global Military Gear has notches that run the full length of the quad rail in order to provide extra strength and rigidity effectively eliminating any flex or torsion in, providing a stable mounting platform capable of maintaining zero on even the finest of optics. Global Military Gear Quad Rails have four rows of seven holes machined into the sides to increase airflow and heat escape. In addition this weapon accessory from Global Military Gear is fully anodized.image
