One review says wrench was good for pistol buffer tubes and not great for carbine tubes, giving me doubt. Is it for rifle and carbine tubes or not? Expert Answer

This wrench is meant specifically for standard castle nuts. So it will work with any pistol or carbine buffer tube that uses a standard castle nut. The lugs on the wrench are meant to lock into the notches on a castle nut to allow the installer to tighten down the castle nut to secure the buffer tube to the receiver.
