Used this to change out the upper receiver of an Armalite AR15 NM (A2 configuration). The barrel and freee-float hand guard were "glued" and "torqued" very tightly in place. Using this block, I had no problem applying the needed force to get those parts "unglued". The receiver only had a light scuff mark from the wrenching. Very happy with this tool. The price is way much less than the one sold by Brownells. This got the job done.

I brought a 1000 bag and found numerous mis-cut patches. The material was crinkled and folded over making them bigger than the size I can use. The inconsistent shape forced me to change out jag so I can continue cleaning. Will continue to buy my patches from Brownells.

Purchased this and the 8" version in hope that when I shoot at the 200 yard line that I will be able to better spot my hits. I'm using a Kowa 25x spotting scope and can see the .bulletsholes no better than on a standard black bullseye target. I brought may too many and can't even use them for anything g other than repairing target backers. Do not buy this unless you are shooting at a range where you don't need optics to see your hits. I'm now using the small pasty on the backside (white only)of my targets. Am able to see the holes way better than this "HiViz" target. Last but not least, the target have a hole punched so the store can hang them from peg boards. Thanks for putting a hole on a surface where there should be one until the customer shoots one.

I now have six of these scopes. I brought two earlier in the year and four more of them when they were on sale over the Christmas holiday. I also took advantage of a "loyal customer" discount coupon and got a really good deal on this really good scope.
One is being used on a 6.8 SPC AR I built. I have used that on one hunting trip last year and it performed as well as any of my other high end hunting scopes (Leaupold, Schmidt and Bender). The 4x is enough for my big game hunting need. The fine reticles and the small dot allows me to easily engage both animal shaped targets as well as the traditional decimal "bullseye" aiming black I would encounter in NRA High Power Rifle conceptions events. the illuminated reticle really helps in low light situations or when target contrast is not that good. I also like the easily adjustable turret set up. It scope also seem to have good repeatability with the zero. this will be important to me as a High Power rifle shooter.
The feature about this scope that I like the most is the true 1x setting and the wide field view for personal defense use. This is going to be my go-to scope for my Service Rifles when I get around to converting them to the flat-top configuration. I am also planning to use it on a AR10 .308 carbine which is being built. I may even swap out one of my personal defense AR15s currently equipped with an EOTech with this scope.
Only negative I have is with the lighted reticle. At its highest setting is almost

Well made and much better priced than the Sinclair version. I really like the ability to adjust the height...this will fit both the AR15 and AR10 family of gun. I own various variant of both types, Armalite AR10 and AR15s, PSA AR10s, Bushmaster, Colt, and others like Anderson Arms.
The included takedown pin is an added bonus.

I purchased 10 of the gray colored boxes and received three. The other 7 were back ordered. Will be cancelling the rest and returning the three have. The boxes all had excess "flash" and defects from the molding manufacturing process. More concerning, they will not close and lock close. Certainly not as good as the MTM made items.
The lack of accurate fitting and apparent quality control maybe limited to just this batch. I also purchased 14 in another size and they were all OK.

This is a good rifle rest for light range use. However, the bag provided is not sturdy and you will need a better bag. The bag is made from faux leather and nylon fabric. The filler is a loose rabbit food pellet looking things. Not going to form to your rifle's forearm like a good sand filled bag would.
I used this for about three months now and had used it primarily to bench my rifle for load testing and zero. I used it with AR style rifles and other bolt action rifles like a Savage Mod 10 in 308.
This rest is superior to the plastic one I had been using and definitely better than the carpet topped wooden blocks provided by the club where I shoot. The adjustments are precise enough, holds where I set it, and has the needed range of adjustments to get on target from 50 yards out to 200 yards. The three pointed screw pins on the base generally held the rest in place on our concrete bench. However, I had positional shift when the gun didn't slide freely on the bag.
The low rating is primarily for the included bag. It worked OK at first when I was shooting my light recoiling .223 and 6.8 SPC ARs. When I fired my 308 the bag broke at the front seams where it "valleyed". The stitchings broke and leaked out the fillers. I recalled the whole rest would rise up upon recoil. I examined my rifle to see how it was positioned on the rest. The front sling swivel apparently was catching the bag on recoil and the recoil impact burst the bag.
I repaired the bag by sewing up

Will not properly fit scoped AR style rifles.
I purchased this case in preparation for a varmint hunting trip to Montana. I am driving and will not need the robust protection of my Pelican cases, nor the excess weight and bulk. I thought this would be a lighter weight and more compact option. After receiving it, dry fitting my guns, I decided to leave it home and use my old Brownells shipping/storage cases instead.
My measurements and studies of the photos failed to account for the design of this case. I also failed to heed the review of another reviewer about the molded pillars being in the way. I purchased the case to be used for an AR15 varmint (24" bbl) rifle and a Savage Mod 10 rifle. Both are equipped with scopes that have target turrets adjustment knobs and sunshades. They are taller and longer than most "hunting rifle" scopes. My rifles barely fit into the case. There were no wiggle room (space with foam) at all. The case is long enough, but, the bottom of the rifle grips and the top of my scope turrets will touch the side of the case with no foam protection.
The most disappointing thing about this case is the fact that they actually have less crush protection than my Brownells or Creedmore Sports padded soft cases. The portion with the pillar and the edge of the case (when closed) would withstand some light impact (crushing) force. However, the center or the middle portion (next to the handle, where my scope would be located) would give and I suspect i

This handguard is ultra-light as advertised, because it is thin. I used it to assemble an AR pistol. It will not be subjected to the stress as it would have had I used it on a carbine. However, I see no reason that this handguard will not perform as designed. How strong it will be is subjective. The machining, fit, and finish was excellent.
Two things needed mentioning:
1) The barrel locking nut: The closest measurement to standard fractional sized tooling is 1-3/16th inch. My 1-3/16 crow-feet wrench will not fit on it. It is just a tad (about 1/32") bit too big. Next fractional size is 1-1/4. 1-1/4 is too big and would round the edges if I try to torque to the needed minimum 30 ft/pound. I ended up using an adjustable "crescent" wrench and tighten it "enough". Using the adjustable wrench did not allow me to use a torque wrench to measure the amount of torque applied. Fortunately, I had installed over ten AR barrels in recent months and had confident in the "feel" needed to have it at least 30 ft/pound. No need to over tighten to line up the gas tube...one positive thing about this design. Get it to at least what you "feel" is 30+ / under 80 ft/pound of torque.
2) Lining up the mounting screws for attaching the hand guard to the locking lug: Be prepared to use the provided shims to get the holes to line up. Also no instruction on this task were provided. Do some "dry" fitting first, and then grease it up and torque it down.
Lastly the mis-match with US SAE

Buffer Tube Review
This style of buffer tube wrench is a must for tightening or removal of a castle nut on an AR pistol system. The buffer tube on most AR pistols are larger than for the carbine variant. I have several other tools (Magpul and a USGI) that I use to service the carbines. They will not fit to work on the pistol tubes. This tool got the job finished. However, this maybe a one time (limited time) use tool.
This tool is manufactured with stamped steel with some type of dark blue-black oxide finish. Overall, the product seems good. I did not test the hardness of the tool to see if it was hardened after the stamping. I may later when I take it to work where I will have access to a Rockwell harness tester.
I did notice the "teeth" appeared rounded now that I was asked to provide a review by Optic Planet. I used it only once to install the buffer tube. It could have been rounded due to my use. If that was the case, this tool will not last long. If it was rounded to start, then it was not that well made.
The thickness of the tool matches the notch on most castle nuts, both are at around 120 thousand thick/deep. What is not matching up as close as I want is the width of the teeth to the width of the notch on the nut. There is roughly about 15-20 thousands of play. May be OK on wrench/nut systems with more baring (contact) surface. With this tool, given the smaller amount of baring surface for the wrench to work with and the amount of torque needed, th
