They are scope rings, I guess they would work if the screws were long enough. I don't know if I received a returned/damaged item but when I tried to tighten the screws on one of the rings, I could only tighten one side or the other by rocking the top...

Got to take into account price. The screws are cheap and will strip if you over tighten, as happened to me. It seems like they are made of a poor alloy steel, probabally cast. I doubt they are any stronger than aluminum but are heavier. I guess they ...
