For the Nikon Bolt, do I need to submit any specific information on my crossbow to have it calibrated to the bow Expert Answer

I would recommend that you use the excellent free software and app from Nikon, SpotOn.

You can select the Bolt XR, magnification and choose from a couple of dozen bolts, zero distance, target distance - even weather variables - and generate accurate values for the BDC reticle with the click of a button.

Nikon makes this statement about the Bolt XR:

There are many variables that come into play in crossbow bolt or arrow flight such as vane size and shape, vane clearance, consistency of the cocking method, rail lubrication, string wear and
consistency and accuracy of the crossbow itself, etc.

The Spot On Program should keep all of your shots in the approximate size of a big game animals vital zone at the distances specified.

We highly recommend that you chronograph the velocity of the actual bolt/arrow you will be using.

It is a good idea to check the velocity of several of the bolts/arrows you plan to use to make sure that you are getting a consistent velocity from your crossbow. The velocity published by crossbow manufacturers may not match the actual velocity you get out of your crossbow.

Defiantly better than the "stock" scope. Wish I had done this sooner and accurate out pass 60 yrds. Mounted right up with the stock rings and was on target in no time. Thanks ..

This scope replaced the pos I got with my sniper 370 that lasted through sighting in and then started moving point of impact all over the target, if it got bumped or just setting it down on the table it moved, not trustworthy. This Nikon Bolt scope i...

Nice optic by Buckle, Verified Owner, October 20, 2016

I'm pleased with the performance and clarity of this scope. The BDC is a very helpful reference. This was a much nicer optic than the one that came with my crossbow. Depending upon the speed of your crossbow, you will have to split the difference on ...
