RS-232 6-pole F. Printer 285201570 / 97041-940. When used with Nova's Communications Module, this 6-pole F. Printer Cable allows a user to connect an optional communication module to a PC serial port, and then print out the results on any printer that has a serial port. When the printer is connected in the conventional way (i.e. direct connection using the F. Printer port), the cable has an RS-232 address that can be set to the user's choice of RS-232 software, or simply to the F. Printer software that is included with the F. Printer. When the software is used without the F. Printer, the user must manually set the cable to the correct pinout in the F. Printer software. Do not make any changes to the port configuration while making any measurements. Doing so will disrupt any current flow readings or affect the communication between the module and the external equipment.
