Product Info for Oberwerk 100mm Binocular Telescope w/ 25x Eyepiece, Tripod, Case

Oberwerk 100mm Binocular Telescopes from OpticsPlanet.com - Amateur astronomers have been asking for this for years, and it's finally here- a special version of the Oberwerk Astronomy Binocular with 1.25" non-rotating helical focusers! Just like the Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Astronomy Binoculars, broadband multi-coatings (non-reflective green/purple) are used throughout, including on the massive porro prisms. One fully multi-coated wide-angle eyepiece is included- 24.43mm (25x). And because the helical focusers are a non-proprietary 1.25" design, your favorite 1.25" eyepieces can be used as well. The eyepieces do not rotate when focusing- a feature found only on high-end helical focusers. The rest of the Oberwerk 100mm Binoculars Telescope, including the semi-apochromatic triplet objectives, is the same proven design as found in the original Oberwerk 25/40x100mm binocular, but the cast aluminum body has a beautiful automotive-quality champagne finish, giving it a more contemporary look.image

Complete Oberwerk 100mm Binocular Telescope package price from OpticsPlanet.com includes binocular, removable handle, lightweight nylon form-fitted case, wooden tripod with removable table-top tripod, and a pair of 25x oculars. An optional 7x50mm finder scope is available (call us at OpticsPlanet.com toll-free (800) 504-5897 to place an order with the finder scope). Oberwerk 100mm Binoculars Telescope is pre-tapped for the finderscope's precision-ground dovetail base (no adjustment required - just lock it in and it's aligned). Because accurate collimation is critical at higher magnifications, every Oberwerk Binocular is tested and collimated prior to shipping- so even at 25x, you'll enjoy perfectly merged images.

How far can you see with Oberwerk binoculars

"How far can we see through this binoculars?" is the most common question that we at OpticsPlanet.com get asked by the beginner binocular lovers, and our answer is always short and honest - you can see through your binoculars as far as you can see with your naked eye, but when you use a pair of binoculars, the objects that you see will appear larger / closer according to the binocular magnification which is normally the first number in binocular designation - for example 8x, 10x, or even 25x, 40x or 65x for something like very large like Oberwerk Observation binoculars

Here are some images from Oberwerk.com to help you realize the power of Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Binoculars used for Terrestrial Viewing. The Jamestown water tower (below) was photographed at a distance of exactly one mile. From this location, Oberwerk observed the water tower with Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Giant Binoculars.

The field of view was noted at both 25x and 40x magnification. The observed image for each level of magnification is represented below. Note: Even at this distance, the actual image in the binoculars was sharper and more defined than the digital photographs that are shown below.
