i have a gas impingement DPMS LR308, will this just swap out with square cam pin without gas key change out? Confusing. Expert Answer

The roller cam pin can work with direct impingement, but the gas key needs to be swapped. If the mil-spec gas key is not replaced, disassembly of the bolt carrier group will not be possible.

Yes, while POF USA does say it's for piston systems on their site, they do say in videos on their Youtube channel that the system can work with a DI system as well.

Used with JP Low Mass DI AR10 Bolt Carier Group. The combination is smooth as butter and works great. No need to remove the gas key on a large frame, drop in replacement. Used to improve the life of an upper reciever.
